If you're looking to set up a blog, or simply want ideas on how you can make your own website work better for you, check out my favourite suppliers and products I use to help me run my food blog.
Setting up a food blog
Bluehost - A cheap, fast and easy web host
I started out with Bluehost when I started Eating Vibrantly. They're one of the best value hosts around, and it's super easy to get up and running with them. If you're looking for a simple way to get started with your food blog, I highly recommend them.
Pair Networks - A fast, reliable and affordable web host
I've been using Pair Networks for 10 years for web hosting, and they've never let me down. I've heard some horror stories about other hosts, but Pair really know what they are doing, their support is great and their latest plans are incredibly affordable.
WordPress - Free, most-popular blogging software
I run my website with WordPress, a free and open-source piece of software, designed for blogs and all kinds of websites. It's the most popular blogging software around, which means there's lots of support for it, plus lots of free add-ons and themes available as well. Many hosting providers will install WordPress for you automatically into your hosting account.
Dynamik Website Builder theme - Design your website easily
I use the Dynamik Website Builder theme for my website, and it's fantastic. Based on the Genesis framework, you can easily customise the style of your website, using their point and click interface, and create your own unique look and feel, and there's no coding required. Take control of your website design with the premium Dynamik Website Builder theme for WordPress.
Easy Recipe WordPress plugin - Display beautiful recipes
I've been using the Easy Recipe plugin to display my recipes since I started my blog, and I love it. I happily upgraded to the paid version eventually, because I loved it so much.
You can make your recipes look amazing, and even format them ready for printing, all without needing a degree in geek!
