I’m a mother, a scientist and a business owner (helping parents break generational cycles of pain and dysfunctional family patterns) and more.

And in my “spare” time I love exploring raw, vegan and whole foods.

Once upon a time…

I started playing with raw food in 2011, as a way to help lower my husband’s cholesterol naturally.

It worked.

His cholesterol levels are now completely normal.

And along the way, we both lost a lot of weight, and discovered ways to eat so much more magnificently than we ever did before.

I never realised that food could be this good.

I’m passionate about good food

I strongly believe in the power of nutrient-dense, plant-based foods to create amazing health and vitality.

My passion is to create delicious, simple and fun dishes that my whole family loves. And my aim is to see just how much raw, vegan, whole food I can get my family to eat.

I’m more interested in food that tastes amazing and disappears rapidly off the plate, than I am in labels. So what you won’t find here is rules, absolutes, fanaticism or judgement.

What you will find is delicious, nutritious food with a strong emphasis on raw, vegan and whole foods.

I like to give myself lots of room to experiment (and learn things the hard way), which means that I don’t fit easily into any boxes, and frankly, I like it that way.

At any given point in time, I could be playing with recipes that are gluten-free, soy-free, low-salt, low-sugar and more, depending on what currently has my interest.

But if you’re interesting in using the power of a wholefood plant-based diet to improve your life, then you’re in the right place.

Who am I?

I am a lover and a friend. He is the centre of my life, and I love having him around.

I am a parent. I have two children and I’ve spent way too much time trying to figure out if I’m doing the right thing by them.

I am a business owner. Amongst my other activities, I run a business that is a constant source of joy and challenges.

I am a scientist. I studied genetics, biochemistry and maths in university, and use my experimentation and analysis skills every single day of my life.

I am a voracious reader. I love books, and I collect them enthusiastically. I read to learn, to enjoy and to grow.

I am a cook. I have discovered the joy of food, and love to explore the possibilities.

I am a gardener. There’s nothing more satisfying than watching plants you have nurtured, grow and thrive. At the moment, my green thumb is a bit withered, much like most of my plants.

I am healthy. There’s always something I am exploring in an attempt to improve my health, or the health of those I love.

I am creative. I love to make things, and I love colour.

I am successful. I am always learning, growing and wondering if things could be better. They can.

I am all of these things, and yet I am so much more.

High-speed blender

I use my Vitamix blender at least 2-3 times EVERY day. It’s fast, so versatile and super quick and easy to clean. I couldn’t live without mine. I absolutely love it!

Food processor
Food processor

I use my powerful food processor three or four times a week, for making nut butters, desserts, sauces, burgers and more. It’s great for large batches and dishes that need texture and just makes “cooking” so much faster.

Dehydrator
Excalibur dehydrator

I use my 5-tray Excalibur dehydrator once or twice a week, for crackers, breads, biscuits, cakes or even just for thawing things. It does an awesome job and makes eating raw SO much easier.
