Pre-packaged ingredients
Loving Earth
Loving Earth supply an awesome range of raw food ingredients, including really raw cashews, agave nectar, coconut nectar, raw cacao powder and beans and superfood powders.
They also make a great range of raw chocolate, kale chips, activated nuts and other snack foods.
These guys also work really hard to support and develop small community-based producers in Australia and overseas.
You’ll find their foods stocked at your local health food store.
Lotus Organic Foods
Lotus Organic Foods, a brand of Kadac Health foods, has an extensive range of nuts, grains, powders, sweeteners, flours, beans, and more.
If you’re looking for an unusual raw food ingredient, there’s a good chance that Lotus does it.
You’ll find their foods stocked at your local health food store.
Melrose Health
Melbourne-based Melrose Health have a huge range of health-related products, but my interest lies in their health food and groceries.
They offer nut butters, cold-pressed oils and gourmet vinegars, which all add wonderfully to a raw food diet.
You’ll find their foods stocked at your local health food store.
Fresh ingredients
Moondarra Blueberries
These guys grow the most amazing organic blueberries I’ve ever eaten.
They’re located in Gippsland, Victoria, and every berry glows with health and happiness.
You can literally taste the love. Ask your local organic greengrocer if they can get their hands on some of these babies.
Sunny Creek Organic Berry Farm
You can pick your own organic berries at Sunny Creek Organic Berry Farm.
They’re about 1.5 hours south-east of Melbourne, and are open for u-pick during the warmer months.
They have a great range of berries, including raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, currants and gooseberries.
Gourmet foods
Pana Chocolate
One word. Yum!
Raw, vegan, dairy-free, organic, handmade chocolate. “Love your insides, love the earth” they say.
Well I’m sorry, I only love you for your chocolate. It’s smooth, creamy and divine.
My favourite flavour is orange, closely followed by raw cacao, and their blue-green algae flavour is strangely wonderful.
And now they have a shop, in Church St, Richmond!
