Hemp seeds recipes for vegans & vegetarians
I absolutely love hemp seeds (aka hemp hearts) and they go fabulously well in heaps of different vegan recipes.
They work well in both raw and cooked recipes, and contain all kinds of healthy fats and proteins, including Omega 3 and Omega 6 oils in the perfect balance for humans.
They have a strong nutty flavour and add a creaminess to all kinds of dishes. I especially love hemp seeds paired with chocolate, as you can see below, but they also go well in salads, smoothies and dressings.

Crunchy Hemp Coconut Fruit Salad
I’ve eaten this crunchy hemp coconut fruit salad for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s light enough and yet filling enough to be eaten at any time of day, and you can make it in 5 minutes flat, with no special equipment necessary.

Healthy Vegan Banana Bread (Wholefood, Gluten-Free)
Banana bread is a fantastic way to use up overripe bananas, but the typical recipes are packed to the rafters with sugar, even the vegan ones. So I created this wholefood vegan banana bread recipe. It’s gluten-free, paleo and naturally sweetened. How about that?

Raw Vegan Pesto
There’s really nothing traditional about this raw vegan pesto recipe, except perhaps the basil and garlic, but it’s so delicious that I hope you’ll forgive it for being a little different. And not only is it bursting with amazing colour and flavour, but it’s also entirely nut-free, and my son loves it!

Raw Chocolate Hemp Pudding
Raw chocolate hemp pudding with only four ingredients – dates, hemp, cacao & vanilla – and the richness and creaminess you’d expect from chocolate mousse. But it’s dairy-free and nut-free! So simple, so quick and SO delicious. You will thank me, I promise.

Any Green Winter Green Smoothie
This amazing delicious, incredibly versatile winter green smoothie recipe uses pears, apples and bananas, and works amazingly well with every leafy green I’ve thrown at it. So far I’ve tried spinach, chard/silverbeet, arugula/roquette, kale, bok choy, chicory, collards and chinese broccoli. Amazing.

High Raw Rice Salad
This high raw rice salad is based around cooked rice and packed full of raw veggies, so it’s satisfying, healthy and bursting with flavour and nutrition. You’d be proud to take this salad to your next potluck or function because healthy or not, it tastes absolutely fantastic.

Homemade Raw Muesli
Making your own homemade raw muesli is so easy, and I love making it because I get to blend it just the way I like it. There’s nuts, there’s seeds, there’s grains, there’s dried fruit, there’s a bit of everything I love. Which is why I like to refer to this as my “random muesli…
Have a wonderful day!
